MLcontrol Mobi for the iPhone or iPod Touch
will be available September 30th!
We are pleased to announce that MLcontrol Mobi for the iPhone or iPod
Touch will be released on September 30th. We will send out an e-mail
with ordering information and will also be available at our online
store at http://store.castlestudios.com
MLcontrol Mobi is a remote control application for the MidiLite
system, and allows you to do basic control for set-up, testing, bulb
checks, etc., and have the freedom to control it from anywhere in your
facility - with no wires! It can communicate directly with MLsim, or
with your MidiLite racks via MLcontrol or Mobi Bridge. It requires a
WiFi network available in the area where your MidiLite system is
located.
MLcontrol v2.0.2 will also be released which adds support for
MLcontrol Mobi.
If you don't have a MLcontrol system, you will be able to use Mobi
Bridge, which is a software application that you can run on the same
computer as Digital Performer and still have the same functionality.
Mobi Bridge will be included with the MLcontrol Mobi download.
We have changed the distribution method, and it will NOT be available
via the App Store as originally announced. Instead, we will be
distributing directly only to authorized users. This will prevent any
chance of someone accessing your system. When you purchase a
MLcontrol Mobi license, you will need to provide the Device ID for
your iPhone or iPod Touch. We will provide simple instructions on how
to get the Device ID from your iPhone or iPod Touch. You will then be
sent the MLcontrol application and a Mobile Provision file. To
install, you will simply drag these two files onto the iTunes icon and
then sync your device.
MLcontrol Mobi will work on any iPhone or iPod Touch running software
v2.0 or higher (v2.1 recommended).
A MLcontrol Mobi license is $99.95 for the first device, and $59.95
per additional device within your organization or team.
Oh, and for those of you that were at our 2008 Conference - YES, we
added a PANIC button also!
Thanks,
Jon
